There are no bad dogs,
just untrained ones.

It’s a matter of showing them what is acceptable and what’s unacceptable.

My next Beginner/Intermediate Dog Class will begin Sunday, January 12th from 1:15 - 2:45 p.m.

These classes are a lot of fun for both you and your dog!    To sign up for this class, please fill out the registration form below, and I'll be happy to send you all the info.

Kara and Mitch Hebert

Denise Landin is a Dog Whisperer! She not only saved our two dogs' lives, she brought peace and harmony back into our family. We will be forever thankful to Denise and very grateful to have her services here in Baton Rouge.

Denise has many unique qualities both personally and professionally. She easily interprets the energy exchange between owner and pet, and compassionately guides the owner to make subtle changes in their body language that reflects dramatic results in the pet's behavior.

In my opinion, the level of time and expertise that Denise extended to the entire group was far beyond what would be considered 'normal' services. I whole-heartedly recommend the services of Ms. Landin and Diamond in the 'Ruff' Dog Obedience Training to anyone who owns a dog.

About

Dog training is very dog/owner specific.  One size doesn’t fit all. Never has, never will.   After 34 years of training dogs, I have learned to recognize what techniques work best for each individual dog.   I also make sure the owner applies the technique correctly to ensure success.

Every dog needs a Pack Leader. They are looking for leadership. A dog will gladly obey the Alpha Dog, because they respect and trust them. However, people don’t know how to become their dog’s pack leader. I teach these invaluable skills in my classes. I want every dog owner to be the BEST Pack Leader they can be because their dog deserves the best!

I’m also frequently asked, “Can you teach an old dog new tricks?”  Absolutely!!
It’s never too late to train a dog!

You can, however, start too young. Private lessons are okay with a young puppy, since it is a one-on-one lesson and they aren’t being exposed to various canine viruses while their immune system is still so weak, but you don’t want to put a puppy in a group class with other dogs or other areas where a lot of dogs have been, until they are properly vaccinated. A good age to start group lessons is approximately 3 months of age.
